BLICKLING NIGHT RUN / THETFORD 10K NIGHT TRAIL

It was all about the night runs on Friday in the stunning grounds of Blickling Hall at the National Trust Night Run and at High Lodge, Thetford for the 10k Night Run.  The Blicking runners set off in the dusk light on the trails through the woodland and while runners at Thetford set out on various trails through the forest on grass, trail and path. There were lots of tree roots to dodge, some unfortunate runners obviously don’t eat their carrots 🥕 and didn’t finish the run! All of our Harriers survived, some fairing better than others! Well done all 👏👏👏!

SUFFOLK WINTER LEAGUE XC - HAVERHILL

Today saw the sixth and final race of the Suffolk Winter League Cross Country series for this year and they left the most challenging route till last!! Following a last minute change of venue, this years event was held at Castle Manor Academy in Haverhill. Based at the school the route weaved in and around the grounds meaning that we got to see our fellow teammates on the way round a few times, and cheer eachother on! There were two short steep hills to power up (twice due to the two laps!) and lots of long inclines to climb - but we all did it, the juniors ran one lap and adults ran two laps, gaining lots of valuable points for the club! We’ve had a great series this year with some excellent individual and team results so thank you and well done to everybody that has ran and hopefully it has inspired lots more to join us for the next series which starts in November 2019!!

In order of finishing positions:
5 Juniors:
Amelia Webber 18 (first female finisher), Izzy Last 34, Rebecca Sinden 47, Kaitlin Sinden 54, Lauren Harlow 55 and well done to Brooke Oram who put in a brilliant effort after feeling poorly this week, we hope you’re feeling better now!

Andrew Harvey 61, Lynn Emmett 66, Liam Brown 88, Laura Leggett 89, Anthony Sinden 107, Gary Howe 121, Simon Skinner 131, Kevin Copeman-Lamoureux 132, Michelle Hewitt 152, Sue Sinden 175, Stephen Harvey 190, Annette Copeman-Lamoureux 205, Matthew Webber 206, Judy Potter 213.
