THETFORD TRAILS 10K RACE 3
Setting off from High Lodge runners headed through the beautiful Thetford Forest and were soon searching for the shade on another scorching day - 16 degrees! The one lap course was all on hard tracks with just a few stony bits and roots to look out for - well done Harriers and thank to our excellent support crew Sarah and Simon! We did think about heading over to Go Ape afterwards for a little swing in the trees, but not for long!

SUFFOLK WINTER LEAGUE XC - RACE 4- NOWTON PARK, BURY ST EDMUNDS
The sun shone brightly on the fourth race of the Suffolk Winter League Cross Country series! Set in the beautiful surroundings of Nowton Park, Bury and hosted by St Edmunds Pacers, Beccles & Bungay Harriers Athletics Club had a brilliant turnout of 5 juniors and 15 adults. At this race the junior 3km race started at 10.45am and the adults started slightly later at 11.15am which meant we got to watch all of our brilliant juniors finish their race, with Amelia Webber speeding round to be the overall first female finisher. The adults then set off on their 8km race through pretty woodland on soft trails - perfect cross country terrain, however, due to the weather there was not a drop of mud in sight! Heading round the two lap course and nearing the finish we found the little ‘dip’ was certainly a challenge and needed a speedy run up to get up the other side! Another great XC race for the club with full adult male, female and junior girls teams and the first cross country event for the club for Andrew Buck, Kevin Kisby and Anna Clarke - well done everybody. In order of finishing positions: Juniors: Amelia Webber (12th), Brooke Oram (27th), Nathan Clark (39th), Rebecca Sinden (50th), Kaitlin Sinden (54th); Adults: Andrew Buck (76th), Andrew Harvey (99th), Lynn Emmett (105th), Matt Webber (116th), Liam Brown (147th), Stu Lawn (176th), Anthony Sinden (179th), Kevin Copeman-Lamoureux (220th), Kevin Kisby (273rd), Suzannah Sinden (284th), Michelle Hewitt (287th), Anna Clark (289th), Annette Copeman-Lamoureux (290th), Stephen Harvey (296th), Judy Potter (312th).

QUEEN ELIZABETH OLYMPIC PARK HALF MARATHON
Three Harriers travelled down to the London for the first ever Queen Elizabeth Park Half Marathon! The route was all on closed roads and runners passed iconic attractions including the ArcelorMittal Orbit, Lee Valley VeloPark and the London Stadium. The ladies ran together and due to the direction of the winding route they got go see teammate Kevin a few times en route! Well done ladies and to Kevin on your first half marathon - and what a brilliant one to pick for your first ! I'm sure you'll have more Harrier company next year after hearing what a great race this was!
