BANK OF SCOTLAND GREAT SCOTTISH RUN HALF MARATHON
Laura Mulley travelled up to Scotland to take part in the epic Great Scottish Run where runners get to experience the electric atmosphere, friendly welcome and excellent race day experience. Laura was out of running for some time with shin pain but has made an excellent come back, worked hard at training sessions and upped her distance again brilliantly - culminating in smashing this half marathon in a brilliant time and flying the flag for the Harriers up North!! Well done Laura, great run!

Many events were cancelled this weekend due to the weather forecast but rain didn’t stop play for this super-sprint distance triathlon consisting of a 300m swim in the pool, a 17km bike rode on country roads and a 3km off-road/park run. Sponsored by Pilch this event is aimed at all abilities but mostly towards people new to the sport as an introduction to the fun and competitive sport of triathlon. Sue didn’t need any introduction as she now has numerous triathlons under her belt, brilliant job, well done Sue!

SIMPLYHEALTH GREAT EAST RUN HALF MARATHON
Since it was launched three years ago, entry numbers have now risen to up to 4,000! Runners start from Ipswich town centre, head out and under the Orwell Bridge and then up, up, up and up ‘that’ hill to do a little loop at the top before coming back down, passing runners going the other way as you run - which is always nice on a run !! Organisers include Ipswich Jaffa running club and Suffolk Country Council and boosts Suffolk’s bid to become the ‘Most Active County in England’ !! Well done boys - and the boys thank you Ali and Blake for your support, and home-made brownies !

JOLLY JAGUARS 10K - COLTISHALL SERIES - RACE 3
There was discussion recently, wondering whether the third race of the Coltishall 10k Series would actually go ahead after the Coltishall Jaguars Running Club lost their base at the Council owned business park after lease renegotiations broke down! In fact, for the moment, this is the final race at RAF Coltishall, maybe that’s why this is their biggest entry level yet, that and it being race 10 of the Sportlink Grand Prix Series! Well done everyone 👏👏👏!

RUTLAND HALF MARATHON
The Rutland Half Marathon is a family organised scenic rural race at one of the most beautiful venues in the country and the fifth event of its kind set on an undulating, mixed terrain course. The race takes place around the shores of one of Europe’s biggest man made reservoirs and the route includes tarmac, gravel and dirt tracks, passing meters from the waters edge and weaves through some of the country’s most precious wetland habitats where you might be lucky enough to get a glimpse of a mighty osprey! Well done team, great running 👏!
